Ruffled Chemise - Midi / Tea Length- Ruffled Short Sleeve - Regency Shift - Nightgown

Handcrafted in Independence, Iowa, our signature chemises are made from 100% cotton fabric. The neck and cuffs feature adjustable elastic, the short sleeves feature a lovely puff above the cuff and a ruffle below it. The neckline can be adjusted to be worn on the shoulders or off the shoulders. A small gap in the stitching of the elastic casings allows the elastic to be tightened if necessary.

The deep ruffled hem provides a playful, frilly look, ideal for twirling and spinning. It has a slight curve, with a total front length of 37 inches and a back length of 41 inches.

This chemise is an excellent base layer for Renaissance, Steampunk, Regency, Cottage core, or other historical costumes. It is typically worn under a corset to protect your skin, keep you cool on hot days, and help maintain the cleanliness of your corset. We always recommend breathable cotton as a base layer for hot festivals.

All seams are finished. The midi calf-length chemise has a full-bodied, flared A-line shape and is adjustable to fit many sizes.

Care Instructions: Machine wash cold with like colors. For dark colors, a color-catching sheet is recommended for the first wash. Dryer safe, Iron with steam to release wrinkles.
